Engaging the Community
Jacks Ride II – This year the The FIRST Responders will be helping support the Iron Circle Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club LE/MC to honor Jack McClary in the 2nd annual Jack’s Ride II. When the ride was first advertised, the organizers noted that no food was available so we jumped in. The robotics team (boosters) will be offering baked goods, liquids (coffee, lemonade, pop) and hot dogs/brats.
While we’re supplying the food we are asking for donations to raise funds for the team. We will also be showing off our bot and raising awareness about the FIRST program and how STEM benefits the young minds of tomorrow
About the Event
JAcks Ride II – Ride for Jack McClary, 100 Years Young.
Jack is a US Army Veteran, Served in WWII as an Artillery Officer (Capt). Fought the Battle of Monte Cassino during the Italian Campaign under General Mark Clark, 5th Army.
Jack had an Indian when he got out of the service and rode it around Ann Arbor and Chicago. Jacks first ride was quite memorable and enjoyable so in order to honor him again we at Iron Circle LE/MC, Milan Chapter proudly present the 2nd Annual Jack’s ride. The ride will take us from Milan to Town and Country Harley Davidson in Cement City with a rest break at Tecumseh Harley Davidson. Join fellow riders at Artesian Wells for a meal (optional) then back to Milan around 2:30-3:00 pm. This is a Free Ride, so it will cost nothing other than giving your time to make this Veteran Happy. We are working on making it possible to make voluntary donations to local veteran-based organizations so stay tuned, this will still be a FREE RIDE!
All are welcome to ride or be on the Street as we take off. We will assemble in front of 220 E Lewis, same place as last year’s ride and line the street with motorcycles. Kick Stands up around 10:30am. We are excited about this. It is not every day that you get to help the Greatest Generation!
When: Saturday June, 29th, 2019
Meet at 220 E Lewis Ave, Milan starting at 9:00am. KSU: 10:30am
